Ricky Martin Has Twins Via Surrogate
Singer Ricky Martin has become a father to twins! In a surprise twist the star has used a surrogate mother, and released a statement saying:
“The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care,” the statement read.
“Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.”
It’s been suspected over the years that Ricky is gay, he once commented, “I think that sexuality is something that each individual should deal with in their own way,” he told Barbara Walters in 2005. “And that’s all I have to say about that.”
It’s certainly unusally in Hollywood for a man to adopt children without having a partner - the only person I know of who has done this is Michael Jackson.
